Dr. Beebe received her DVM from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in Lafayette, Indiana. After graduation, she practiced veterinary emergency medicine and critical care exclusively until 1997. During that time, she owned and operated a 24-hour animal emergency medicine and critical care facility in central Washington state. Dr. Beebe began her study of alternative and complementary medicine modalities in 1994. She relocated to California in 1997, during that time she practiced acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and integrated it with conventional veterinary medical care.

Dr. Beebe is certified in veterinary acupuncture, Chinese herbology, Chinese food therapy and veterinary tui-na by the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine and China National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCM). Dr Beebe has completed the certificate program in Canine Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy at the University of Tennessee,  and continues regular annual training with experts in human nutrition and TCM. She has independently studied Chinese herbal medicine and its clinical applications to veterinary medicine with Dr. Baoping Li, MD, PhD, DOM since 1997. Dr. Li is a native of China and owns the New Life Clinic in Davis, California.

Dr. Beebe served thirteen years in the United States Army, three years on active duty for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and ten years as a veterinary officer in the Army Reserve, where she helped organize veterinary corps humanitarian aid missions for third world countries and provided veterinary care to military working dogs.
    
Dr. Beebe has a special interest in the application of Chinese medicine for exotic and zoo animals. She is a member of the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine, the Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Beebe is an instructor for the elective course in integrative veterinary medicine at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is a faculty member of the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Beebe is a board member of the American Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Natura Nutritional Advisory Board.  Dr. Beebe is the author of Clinical Handbook of Chinese Veterinary Herbal Medicine, and is currently co-authoring a reference textbook on veterinary applications of classical Chinese herbal formulas with Dr. Michael Salewski DVM and Dr. John Chen, PhD, PharmD, OMD, LAc and Dr. Tina Chen, MS, LAc recognized experts in Chinese herbal medicine and the authors of Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology, and Chinese Herbal Formulas and Applications.  She regularly lectures at scientific meetings in the US and internationally.
